Quarter mile and 0-100km/h times are a handy yardstick for defining the fastest hot hatch.

Manufacturers are pulling out all the stops to claim the fastest hot-hatch title and the likes of Audi, AMG are bosting some pretty insane power figures.

But what is the easiest way to determine which is the quickest? With an old fashioned drag race of course, with 0-60mph (96.56km/h) thrown in for good measure

Mat Watson from UK site, Carwow put the RS3 hatch, Focus RS, Civic Type R, AMG A45 and the Golf R against the stopwatch.
