Since the 1970s' W116 series, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has ranked among the best cars in the world. As a technological as well as luxury showcase, the full-sized German sedan has shown the way for others to follow, redefining its segment with a blend of safety, refinement, performance and quality. The seventh-gen model, the W223, thus has massive shoes to fill. Thankfully, it doesn't disappoint.
