With a more modern design than its predecessors, the VR received acclaim as the Wheels 1993 Car of the Year. Driven by a 3.8L '3800' V6, which produces 165 hp, the VR is paired to a 4-speed 'GM 4L60-E' automatic transmission. The VR was sold new at Farmers Centre in Keith, SA.
