People generally buy SUVs for their presumed practicality. Which makes this Nissan Patrol modification one of the strangest things we've seen. The entire driving control set-up has been moved into the centre of the second row -- perhaps for true back seat driving. Why? We're not sure.
It's the handiwork of the team at King of Customs in Dubai, who moved the driver’s seat to the back of the 2008 Nissan Patrol. The steering wheel is now positioned behind the front seats, as are the auto transmission selector and pedals, all the dash instruments and even the rearview mirror.
What does that leave in the front? Not much, but the passengers are treated to some LCD screens on which to watch video while the driver has fun in the back. Before you race out to start modifying the family SUV, think about the issues it brings. Visibility would be worse than in the thickest-pillared vehicle on the market, and you're going to lose the ability to put child seats in the back.
