Toyota's popular hybrid SUV updated! 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross keeps it competitive against the 2026 Hyundai Kona, Kia Seltos, Mazda CX-30 and Subaru Crosstrek with a refresh and a up to $1260 price hike

Toyota Australia has confirmed the pricing of its updated Corolla Cross line-up ahead of orders opening on certain variants on July 24.

The 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross line-up now starts at $37,440 before on-roads for the GX 2WD and extends to $50,990 before on-roads for the Atmos AWD and new GR Sport AWD trims. A full pricing table is at the bottom of this story.

For the majority of the variants, pricing is up $960 compared to the pre-update version. The GXL 2WD variant gets the largest pricing hike, however, at $1260.

Toyota will open orders for the entry-level Corolla Cross GX 2WD, as well as the Atmos 2WD and AWD variants on July 24.

The Corolla Cross GXL 2WD and AWD, as well as the new flagship GR Sport AWD trim are set to arrive in the fourth quarter of 2025.

At this stage Toyota hasn’t confirmed full specifications for the updated Corolla Cross line-up, but there is a new front grille, LED headlights and alloy wheel designs.

Depending on the grade there is the addition of a wireless phone charger, as well as heated and ventilated front seats.

Now sitting at the top of the Corolla Cross line-up is the aforementioned GR Sport variant.

It picks up a unique front fascia, darkened 19-inch alloy wheels, a ‘Sport’ drive mode, specially tuned and lowered coil springs and shock absorbers, as well as a unique electric power steering system.

All 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross variants are powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder hybrid powertrain with a total system output of 146kW of power, regardless of whether you opt for a front- or all-wheel drive version. This is mated with a continuously variable transmission.

A range of new exterior paint colours are available, including Massive Grey, Ink, Ash Slate, Shadow Platinum and Feverish Red. Glacier White and Frosted White carry over from the pre-update model.

Shadow Platinum, Feverish Red, Frosted White and Ash Slate will be offered with an optional two-tone black roof on certain variants.
