Skoda has unveiled the new Enyaq RS overseas ahead of its expected Australian launch in the first quarter of 2026.

The RS will retain much of the same performance prowess as its predecessor while adding slightly more range, faster charging and refreshed styling.

That means its all-wheel-drive, twin-motor powertrain will continue to deliver 250kW/545Nm with a peak 0-100km/h sprint time of 5.4 seconds in both coupe and SUV body styles.

Its 79kWh (usable) battery pack also remains, though range is now claimed at "over 560km" under the WLTP cycle, which is an increase of at least 30km over its predecessor.

Impressively, that’s considerably more driving range than many of its performance rivals, such as the outgoing Tesla Model Y Performance (514km) and theĀ BYD Sealion 7 Performance (456km), as well as the mechanically related Volkswagen ID.4 GTX (511km).

The time it takes to charge from 10 to 80 per cent has also been cut by two minutes to 26 minutes overall, with the Enyaq RS’ maximum DC charging capacity now capped at 185kW, up from 175kW.

AC charging remains at a peak of 11kW, which will see the Enyaq RS charged from 0 to 100 per cent in eight-and-a-half hours.

As with the rest of the new Enyaq range (which arrives locallyĀ in the second half of this year), the RS has adopted Skoda’s new 'Tech-Deck' face and four-eyed LED Matrix headlights and LED lightbar. That said, it does adopt unique and more aggressive front and rear bumpers .

It also swaps out the regular Enyaq’s chrome trims for black trims, which feature on the grille, bumpers, door mirrors and roofline. There is also RS badging on the A-pillars and optional Green Mamba paint.

The Enyaq RS comes equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels as standard, though customers can upgrade to 21-inch versions instead.

Inside, there are two design choices: RS Lounge and RS Suite. The former comes equipped as standard and features microfibre and synthetic leather upholstery, as well as lime green contrast stitching. The latter adopts a mix of synthetic and genuine leather with grey stitching.

A carbon-look dashboard and door panels come standard on both option packs, along with a three-spoke leather steering wheel, a 5.0-inch digital driver’s display, a 13.0-inch multimedia display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, three-zone climate control and mechanical sunshades for the rear windows.

Customers can opt for an augmented-reality head-up display, a 12-speaker CANTON sound system and electronically adjustable front seats with massage functions as additional extras.

Pricing remains unconfirmed, but it is expected to incur a slight premium over the current version's asking price of $83,990 before on-road costs.
