The Land Rover Defender will gain more V8 options for the 2026 model year (MY26) as the British firm moves to rejuvenate the much-loved off-roader with design and tech updates.
Headlining the updates is the addition of the new P425 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine (313kW/550Nm), which replaces the P400 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder petrol engine (294kW/550Nm) in the Defender 90 and 110.
Defender 110 customers can also now opt for the D250 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder mild-hybrid diesel (183kW/550Nm) powertrain, which continues to be offered on the 90 as well.
