Nissan has introduced a more affordable hybrid entry offering in Australia, with a new Qashqai electrified variant sneaking in under the $50K mark.
The 2026 Nissan Qashqai can now be had as a Ti e-Power, a roughly middle-of-the-range variant.
It starts from $47,165 before on-road costs. This is $5000 less than the next-cheapest hybrid Qashqai, the Ti-L. It's $4200 more than the regular Qashqai Ti.
Pricing for the rest of the Qashqai line-up remains unchanged. A full table for prices can be found below.
Nissanās e-Power name is applied to its hybrid variants.
It works in a similar fashion to range-extender hybrids, with an engine acting as a power generator for the battery, which in turn powers the electric motors to drive the wheels.
Nissanās e-Power hybrids drive like electric cars since the combustion engine has no direct link to the wheels.
The combustion engine in the Qashqai e-Power is 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine.
The electric motor that drives the front wheels produces 140kW and 330Nm, drawing its power from the engine and a 1.8kWh battery.
The Qashqai Ti e-Power comes with features like 19-inch alloy wheels, optional two-tone black roof, adaptive LED headlights, roof rails and tinted windows.
