2023 Skoda range gets price increases for SUVs like the Kamiq and Kodiaq, plus Scala and Fabia hatchbacks

Pricing for five of Skodas models has increased by between $500 and $1000.

Skoda’s most popular models have had their prices increased for 2023 in a range adjustment that coincides with pricing changes made by many brands at the beginning of 2023.

Five Skoda models have had their pricing adjusted for 2023, with the Octavia and Superb sedans and wagons escaping the cost increase.

The pricing changes for each model do not coincide with any changes to features or specifications.

At the most affordable end of the Skoda family are its two hatchbacks, the cheaper of the two the 2023 Skoda Scala which now starts from $33,490 drive-away for the 85TSI Ambition variant, up $500 from before.

The Scala Ambition is powered by a turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that drives the front wheels with 85kW and 200Nm via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The Signature top-spec variant costs $41,490, also $500 more than last year, and runs with Skoda’s 110TSI drivetrain, with a turbo 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine making 110kW and 250Nm via the same gearbox.

The large Kodiaq RS version remains to be ,990 drive-away.

The smaller Skoda Fabia, available only in sporty Monte Carlo guise, now starts from $38,990 drive-away, up by $1000 from its new-generation launch pricing last year. It uses the 110TSI drivetrain.

The Skoda Kamiq, the smallest of its SUVs, still starts at $37,990 for the 85TSI Style, which has no pricing change. The 110TSI Monte Carlo and Signature variants are both up by $500, now $42,490 and $43,490 drive-away respectively.

The mid-size Karoq is now $1000 more expensive in both versions - $43,990 for the 110TSI Style and $50,990 for the 140TSI Sportline 4x4, which of course has 140kW and 320Nm to all four wheels.

The smaller Skoda Fabia now starts from ,990 drive-away.

The large Kodiaq SUV is also up by $1000, aside from the hi-po RS version which remains $74,990 drive-away.

The two 132TSI variants are now $54,990 for the Style and $59,990 for the Sportline.
