After reading in Carsguide about a Mitsubishi 380 jamming on full throttle I was wondering if I might have the same problem with mine. I had a car accident a few months ago, it was my fault and the car was a write off, but the only explanation I had was that my foot slipped off the brake onto the accelerator and shot me into the path of oncoming traffic. The sensation was that each time I put my foot on the brake it seemed to rev and motion forward as I approached a Stop sign. I seemed to be slowing down, but my final push on the brake shot me into the road. Could this be the same problem and should I be telling someone?
It's unlikely. I think the explanation that your foot slipped off the brake pedal and on to the accelerator is more likely to be the real cause of your crash.
