Timing belts or chains

I PREFER chains because they have better durability and don't require any servicing, whereas belts have to be replaced at regular intervals to ensure they don't ultimately break and do serious internal engine damage. Carmakers went to belts some time ago to save money, it's that simple. Belts can be quieter than chains, but there isn't really a noise issue with chains today.
