Stick with smart guys

I WRITE about the conflicting advice given to reader Paul Greystanes from two Toyota dealers. It is incredible when a Toyota dealer does not know if the model has a timing chain or belt. I will stay with my unauthorised service centre with qualified mechanics, who display their certificates on the wall.

YOU are right, Steve, to stick with the mechanic you trust. If you find a mechanic who gives you advice and service you're happy with, stick with them.
