Ford Falcon 2003: Broken seat springs

The driver's seat in my 2003 BA Falcon has collapsed and on removing the seat I found four of the spring clips holding the wire base have broken. I phoned Ford to inform them of the problem and asked if they could supply new spring clips, which I estimate would cost about 20 cents each, so I could fix it. I have been in the trade for over 50 years and feel the springs were not tempered correctly. I asked them for the name of the company who supplied the parts so I could advise them of the problem and all I received was the runaround. I am prepared to do the repairs myself and was wondering if you could possibly obtain the suppliers name for me. The car has only done 125,000 km and it could be considered unroadworthy with a faulty seat.

I'm not surprised that Ford wouldn't give you the name of the seat supplier, that's not the sort of information they normally hand out.  The seat supplier is Futuris Automotive Interiors and they can be contacted on 03 9644 4222.
