Paint protect for bonnet

I recently noticed some bird droppings on the bonnet of my 2010 Mazda before I went through the car wash. Afterwards I realised the paint had come away leaving a spot about the size of a 50-cent coin. I purchased paint protection and rust proof protection, so was extremely disappointed when I discovered the damage to the paint. Should I pay to get it fixed myself, which would more than likely include a new bonnet, new paint, and then paint protection applied to the bonnet, or take it to the dealer and tell them I want it fixed?

Presumably, you bought the paint protection from the Mazda dealer, so that's where you should go to get it fixed. It will most likely be a case of repainting the bonnet.
