Nissan Pathfinder computer

For many years my 2007 Nissan Pathfinder goes into limp home mode. It's not done 110,000 km and the fault has occurred eight times in the last 10,000 km. It's very dangerous, particularly when it happens while you're overtaking, and Nissan has not had a recall to fix it. Do any manufacturers recall dangerous computer systems?

Recalls are mostly to fix potentially dangerous problems and all carmakers have them from time to time. I would say that your car has a particular problem with the computer system and I am amazed that you have put up with it for "many" years. Take it to a Nissan dealer, or an independent Nissan specialist, either of whom should be able to fix it.
