Mitsubishi Nimbus engine mount

When my Mitsubishi Nimbus is stationary with the motor running and in 'Drive' there's a vibration through the steering wheel. It's not there in 'Park' or 'Reverse'. The car is serviced regularly, the idle speed is correct and the engine is not misfiring. My mechanic said the only other thing he could do is to check the engine mounts. Do you have any suggestions?

You could raise the idle speed a little, as that seems to fix it given that it's not evident in "Park". Other than that do what your mechanic has suggested and have him check the engine mounts.
