    History of 1986 Ford LTD

    I was wondering where I could get some history relating to the 1986 Ford LTD I bought last year. It was originally a Government vehicle and the previous owner bought it from a Ford dealership in 1988. I have already contacted the dealership, but they couldn't help me as the car is over 20 years old and they throw out there records every 10 years. Would it be worth contacting Ford directly or is there someone else that would be able to help? What I am mainly after is to find out who may have driven or been driven around in the car. It's in exceptional condition with only 125,000 km on the clock. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Certainly you could try Ford, but I doubt you would have much success. You know that it was a government vehicle so I would contact the government transport department and enlist the help of the people there.
