My 2010 Ford FG XR6 has had a dual climate-control problem since new. The climate control fails in hot weather after a couple of hours use. The climate control then works again the next day until it is used again for a couple of hours. The outside sensor in left mirror has been replaced on at least four occasions. It was also recommended the computer be completely recalibrated/updated, but this also failed to solve the problem. The car is now out of warranty, but my Ford Dealer who I have dealt over many years is still being good enough to help me. He recently went onto a Ford Dealers Forum, and found another dealer who had experienced the same problem, which was repaired by replacing the evaporator behind the dash. This has now been done, but until I use the vehicle again in hot weather on a long trip I won't know if it is fixed. Have you heard of this problem before and do you think the latest work will fix the problem.
I haven't heard of this problem before, but it's pleasing to hear that your dealer is still on the case and hasn't given up. It sounds like it could be a fix, but as you say you won't know for sure if the problem has been fixed until you get a spell of hot weather again.
