Over the past year I have noticed that the gearbox in my 2011 Ford Focus Mk 2 LX 2.0-litre auto hatch moves from 'drive' into 'neutral'. At first it only happened occasionally, but it is now occurring more regularly. For example, it could happen when I'm driving on/off a roundabout, slowing down when approaching a junction but driving through when clear, going over a speed bump and more so on leaving my crescent that has a slight incline before leveling off and going downhill. It stays in 'neutral' for approx. 2-3 seconds and is noticeable by the particularly high revs. 'Drive' engages when I take my foot off the accelerator. It's been checked a number of times, but Ford refuses to acknowledge a problem. Do you have any ideas?

There is a problem with your gearbox and it needs to be sorted out. The computer in your car needs to be checked, maybe even replaced, and perhaps the gearbox itself might need to be replaced. Take it back to the dealer and demand action.
