Unintended acceleration

Some time ago you had two people report that their car would accelerate for no apparent reason. I am a mechanic myself and another mechanic I know had a similar experience while test driving a Falcon. He was sitting at the traffic lights when the car went to full throttle and shot through the intersection. It turned out that a bad earth at the battery had caused the cruise control to go haywire and go to full throttle. It's something worth checking.
