Dedicated GPS speedometer

Interest in GPS speedos has prompted me to suggest a seven-inch Garmin GPS. Mine displays the vehicle's speed and even glows red if I exceed the posted limit. Sure, it sometimes takes 100m to do this but it is accurate otherwise.

It was a GPS navigation system that got me thinking about a dedicated speedometer. The downside is the cost and the relatively small speed display in a device meant for route finding and directions.
