The ABS warning light appeared on the dash of my 1997 Fairlane a couple of months ago. A brake specialist checked and cleaned the ABS sensors and fitted new pads, but told me that I would need to take it to an auto electrician if the warning light came on again. You guessed it, it did, so I rang a couple of auto electricians and explained the situation. They told me it was a brake problem and I needed to take it to a brake specialist! What do I do now?
It does sound like it's a brake problem and should be able to be fixed by a brake specialist. You could also take it to a competent mechanic, who should be able to fix it, or a Ford dealer
