AskSmithy Xtra Replacing all tyres

I recently had to replace a punctured tyre, and when I did the tyre place told me I should replace all four tyres. If I didn't, they said, I could have serious problems. Is this correct?

You wouldn’t normally replace all four tyres just because one was punctured, but there could be a good reason for the recommendation. It could be that the other tyres are heavily worn and would need replacing soon, or that the replacement tyre isn’t a good match for the three existing tyres. I would ask the tyre dealer to explain their recommendation to you; if you’re not happy with it go to another tyre dealer and ask for their advice.
