Nissan Patrol 2006: Does the turbo-diesel engine still have problems?

I've been reading your comments regarding the problems with the Nissan Patrol 3.0-litre Turbo Diesel engines. I am considering buying a 2006-2007 model. Do the same problems exist in these later models?

I’ve been told the problems don’t affect the later models, but I can’t categorically say they don’t because I haven’t been able to confirm it with any confidence.
