Ask Smithy Xtra headlights output

How can I improve the output of my headlights? I have changed the low beam globes to ones that claim to emit 50 per cent more light, but this has done little to improve the light. A few years ago I replaced the whole light assemblies, as the originals had gone yellow.

Replacing the lights should restore the performance of the headlights. I have also seen products that restore the plastic headlight covers when they have become cloudy.
