Honda CR-V 2021 review: VTi
By Byron Mathioudakis · 17 May 2021
One of the first medium SUVs launched back in 1997, the Honda CR-V (for Compact Recreational Vehicle) has evolved over five generations into a capable, versatile and refined family crossover proposition. Though not the cheapest, the VTi is one of the most compelling in its segment, since it combines safety, space, comfort and practicality with willing turbo performance, at an affordable price.

Kia Sorento 2021 review: GT-Line petrol
By Justin Hilliard · 10 May 2021
The importance of the fourth-generation Kia Sorento large SUV cannot be understated. And the fact that it happens to be verging on seven-seat greatness is opportune. Indeed, the GT-Line petrol variant tested here is nearly the perfect all-rounder.

Peugeot Partner 2021 review: 130 Auto Standard
By Byron Mathioudakis · 07 May 2021
Small vans are born to live in urban environments, and that's something that Peugeot - with Citroen's help - has had decades of experience in with the Partner line. Based on the French brand's lauded EMP2 architecture, the K9 series elevates the genre to new heights in terms of safety, technology, driving pleasure and occupant comfort, while still performing the job it was created to do admirably.

Peugeot 2008 2021 review: Allure
By Peter Anderson · 04 May 2021
The new Peugeot 2008 plugs the compact SUV gap the way the old one never quite did, despite being very capable. What it doesn't do is tempt the younger buyers the brand desperately wants; those who seek a sub-$30,000 entry level compact SUV, because the cheapest 2008 is the Allure, at a considerable $34,990. The brand is banking on cashed-up young 'uns liking what they see.

Suzuki Vitara 2021 review
By Byron Mathioudakis · 28 Apr 2021
Though the fourth generation vehicle to wear the Vitara badge, the current series released in 2015 is the only one that is not a dedicated off-roader but a proper small SUV. Excellent design, packaging and value has kept sales going along nicely, while a minor update in early 2019 brought a few improvements. But in 2021, with many newer rivals to compete with, can the Suzuki keep up?

Hyundai Kona 2021 review: Elite
By Peter Anderson · 23 Apr 2021
The Hyundai Kona has been with us for some years now, more than I actually thought. So it was definitely time for something new, with the extensive range gaining a new face, new interior tech and some general freshening up. And... a continuously variable transmission in the 2.0-litre cars. Let's have a look and see what it all means.

Hyundai i30 2021 review: N Line Premium hatch
By Byron Mathioudakis · 22 Apr 2021
Hyundai has progressively improved the i30 over three generations , with the current model launched in 2017 providing a broad spectrum of choice to suit different needs. With its turbo petrol engine and independent rear suspension, the N-Line provides rousing performance and fine dynamic qualities, without spilling into hot-hatch territory. In Premium guise there's plenty of luxury to enjoy, too.

Kia Carnival 2021 review: Si petrol
By Tom White · 13 Apr 2021
The rise of the seven-seat SUV makes a lot of sense, but Kia's new Carnival is one particularly compelling argument to consider a people mover instead.

Hyundai Venue 2021 review: Auto
By Byron Mathioudakis · 06 Apr 2021
Hyundai's first real tilt at a light SUV is the Venue - a boxy little crossover with character, space and dynamic agility built in. It's also easy to get in and out of, well made, surprisingly spacious and effortless to operate, offering light steering, a tight turning circle and plenty of low-down throttle response. But the competition is fierce and in a couple of ways the Venue falls short.

Volkswagen Multivan 2021 review: Cruise Edition
By Peter Anderson · 31 Mar 2021
The 6.1 update for Volkswagen's Multivan (and Transporter) series vans seemed like an opportunity to celebrate 70 years of the Kombi. Short of actually doing another Kombi (which is, allegedly, coming after a number of false starts), the German giant gives us the Multivan Cruise Edition.
