Wakeling dealership revs up for show

Holden entusiasts promote the upcoming Paul Wakeling Holden Muscle Car Show.

Classic Commodores and HSVs will converge on the dealership on Sunday for the 2012 Holden Muscle Car Show.

More than 60 cars from the Holden stable will be on display throughout the day, including club cars, race cars and tough street cruisers. HSV Owners Club special events director Cy Cripps said car enthusiasts across the Macarthur region could expect to see a wide range of the General's finest on show. "We're going to have an elite hall of magazine quality show cars on the day,'' he said.

"There will also be a trade stand and a number of generous raffle prizes up for grabs from Paul Wakeling.'' Craig Hilton, owner of the replica Peter Brock 1994 touring car championship Commodore, said he was looking forward to the show. "I'd rather be out racing, but it's going to be a very good day,'' he said.

"I race in Muscle Car Masters and other track days at Eastern Creek and Wakefield Park, so the car sees a lot of track work. "The show is a good chance to catch up with other people in the club and see the cars on display.'' Fellow club member Wayne Trimby said he was happy to bring his yellow HSV E3 GTS to the show.

"Paul Wakeling does a lot for the local community and being part of the car show is a way of giving something back,'' he said. "I'm more than happy to support our local HSV dealership, and this car is the 10th one I've bought from him.'' For more details visit paulwakeling.com.au.
