How to fold up Fortuner rear seats

Can the rear fold up seats in a 2016 Toyota Fortuner be taken out when not in use? I would like to take them out to go camping and have them in for around town.

They flip up to the side to allow more stuff to be carried, but they’re not designed to be taken out completely. It is possible to remove them, of course, but we understand that it’s a bit of a chore to reinstall them.
