Best SUV for metro driving

We are thinking of replacing our Lexus RX330 which we purchased 12 years ago. Our only requirements are that we need to tow a small caravan to Bright once a year. We do approximately 20,000kms a year which is mainly metro driving and would like an SUV, auto and with a good turning circle.

A Mazda CX-5 would be the best bet, and gets The Tick, but also look at a Subaru Forester which is more car-like and will be better around town when you're not towing.
