Asked by Trevor Sonnenberg
My daughter is fast approaching her 18th birthday, has completed her 120 hours of driving, and now has her mind set on the Volkswagen Beetle. She has been driving my wife's Mazda CX-5 for most of the time. Your thoughts on the Beetle as a first car, maybe buying a demo model? And then the car itself?
Answered by CarsGuide
25 May 2015The first of the born-again Beetles was severely compromised because the rounded body sat over the mechanical package of the boxy Golf. But the new car looks good, almost like a Porsche, drives well and is well equipped. I give it The Tick and will help you track down a good deal.
