    Not long after purchasing our 2009 MY10 Subaru Liberty Sports Prem we noticed some squeaks/rattles, but decided to wait until the first service before getting them rectified. Most of them seem to be sorted after a few visits to Subaru workshops, but there is one noise that is still ongoing and according to Subaru Japan there is no solution for it. It is allegedly coming from the handbrake cable, which is twisting! The best way to describe the noise is like pulling a trailer. We believe that we are not alone with this problem - we have spoken to somebody else with the same thing and he was told the same as we were. We are desperate for a solution. What can we do?

    The only thing you can do is put pressure on the dealer and Subaru to sort the problem out. Perhaps other owners can let us know if they have the same issue with their cars, and what they were told by their dealers.
