New Zealand is chock full of awesome cars, both new and old, but I was blown away by this hoarde of awesome old tin while wandering the back burbs of Christchurch. I stumbled across more than a dozen rad rides, from the 1940s through to the '90s.
The shop, RetroCar.co.nz, sells classic machines and also works on them to ensure they pass their Warranty of Fitness roadworthiness test. There was a huge range of cars from British classics like a BMC Mini and Triumph TR3, to American land yachts like a Lincoln Continental, Ford Sunliner, and a sweet DeSoto wagon packing a stock 331ci Hemi V8.
The blokes running the show are friendly and chilled out, happy to chat so if you are near Woolston, Christchurch, drop in and say g'day.
