Looks like the original Godzilla will be wreaking havoc for years to come thanks to a new plan to reproduce parts.

The people at Nismo have been talking a lot lately, about positioning the brand as a kind of M-division performance brand and planning to sell 100,000 cars a year.

They've started this grand plan in the US by launching the Sentra Nismo (we know it as the Pulsar, now discontinued in Aus...)

The Sentra still looks pretty average, even after a Nismo treatment.

Great...

Australia currently gets the Nismo edition of the R35 GT-R and will possibly get a hotted-up 370z and Juke (sadly not the GT-R engined one) in the near future.

But the real big news wasn't announced outside Japan. That is - they're restarting production of spare parts in order to keep GT-R's on the road, at least R32s to begin with (if you google translate the Japanese announcement it says "Start from R32 GT-R, gradually expand")

The R32 is now over 25 years old which means that it can legally be imported into the US, making this service more valuable than ever.

It also means that there will be a great many examples (of the only 43,934 R32 GT-Rs ever produced) in dire need of OEM parts rolling around Australia that can now be restored to their former glory.

Do you have a GT-R in dire need of parts? Tell us about it in the comments.
