The Lotus Evora was launched in 2008 as a larger and more usable alternative to the Elise and Exige. It was built on a new aluminium chassis and offered seating for up to four, making it more practical than previous Lotus sports cars. Overseas, the model was sometimes sold as the Lotus Evora 2+2, highlighting its rear seats.
In 2010 Lotus introduced the Evora S, adding a supercharged V6 for more performance. The line expanded further with variants like the Evora 400 in 2015, which featured more power, lighter weight and revised styling. The Evora GT followed in 2019, serving as the flagship with track-focused upgrades. Each version kept the core focus on sharp handling while improving comfort and everyday usability.
By 2021 the Lotus Evora was phased out in favour of the Lotus Emira. Its role as the brand’s last petrol-powered 2+2 sports car gave it a unique place in Lotus history.
The line-up currently starts at $159,060 for the Evora Gt410 Sport and ranges through to $186,560 for the range-topping Evora Gt410 Sport.
