When the boot lid on our 2009 Holden Cruze is opened after washing or being left in the rain, water runs into the boot. When I reported this to the dealer the serviceman checked other Cruzes on the lot and found the same problem. He told me that no defect notice had been recorded with Holden. I rang Holden and was told this was a 'normal characteristic' of the Cruze! I argued that I thought it was an 'abnormal characteristic' as a boot should surely be designed not to leak. I was also advised to take the car to another dealer for testing, but can't see any point in doing this. Have other Cruze owners experienced water running into their boots?
It doesn't sound as if the boot is actually leaking as you say the water gets in when you open the bootlid. That sounds more like the Cruze designers didn't check to see what happened to water on the bootlid when it is opened. Perhaps other owners could tell us if this is an issue that annoys them.
