My wife's 2006 Hyundai Elantra SLX auto is due for its 90,000 km service, even though it has only done 37,000 km. In the service book this major service includes replacement of the timing belt. Do I really need to replace the timing belt?
You'll find there's also a time requirement on the belt. Even though it's only done 37,000 km it is going on for seven years old, so I would always err on the side of caution and change the belt.
