Ford Fiesta 2011: Is a transmission malfunction covered by Ford?
Asked by Jvoti
Four months ago I bought used 2011 Ford Fiesta from a private seller. It’s got 156,000km on the odometer. I recently got a transmission malfunction, service now message the gears now don’t shift properly, which causes the engine rpm to go high with a large noise in the cabin. Does Ford cover this under their Powershift transmission issue?
Answered by CarsGuide
19 Oct 2018Your car has the dreaded Powershift disease. Call Ford’s customer service (13 3673) and request they repair the car at their cost. I would expect they would cover the cost of repairs, but they might offer to cover part of the cost of replacing the transmission.
