Hyundai i30: Diesels blowing headlight globes

Regarding the problem a couple of owners have reported with their Hyundai i30 diesels blowing headlight globes, it's a very common problem. Hyundai will not admit a problem, but have always replaced them for free when I have demanded they do so. In the end I got fed up and fitted an aftermarket HID kit. Problem solved. Once adjusted properly, I have no one flashing me, and my low beams are 100 percent better than stock. That was seven months ago and I have had zero blown globes since.
