    Diesel or petrol SUV?

    I am waiting on the new Kia Sorento but also like the Mazda CX-5. I am retiring within two years and will travel to Queensland once a year in winter but we won't be doing any towing except to the tip once in a blue moon. Is it worth paying extra for a diesel motor or buy the petrol?

    The advantage of the Sorento is that it's a seven-seater, so it will have more space for a big trip. Do not go for diesel unless you travel more than 30,000km a year, otherwise it will take too long to recoup the extra cost of the engine.
