Cayenne pepper for cat hair

A reader recently asked what they could do to keep a cat off their car; well I had some success by lightly sprinkling cayenne pepper over the car. It doesn't cause any damage to the paint and the cats don't like it at all.

Thanks for the info. Other readers also recommended cayenne pepper, and one suggested rubbing Vaporub on the bumpers and wiper arms.
