I recently purchased a 2000/2001 Hyundai Accent auto, which has only done 39,000 km, and while it has had regular servicing and oil changes etc. there is no record to indicate that the cam timing belt has been replaced. Should I look at replacing the belt due to the age or should it be ok for a while longer?
I can’t possibly predict what might or might not happen to the belt in the near or even medium term, so I would have the belt changed.
