Globalisation naysayers (like me) will tell you that the world's automotive landscape is becoming more and more homogenised with every 'world car' that hits showrooms, and they're right.

Despite this, the land of the free still has a whole bunch of specific models we'll likely never get in Australia. Most of them are indeed crap, van-like crossovers with more cupholders than toilets in your average aluminum-cladded two-storey suburban American-dream home.

But there are still a few others we wouldn't mind parking in our garage, or at least having a look at. Here are the most interesting unobtainables I spotted at the LA motor show last week.
