For much of our motoring past, local products from Holden and Ford have been the best selling cars in Australia.
Now that our buying habits have diversified and local manufacturing has ended, the top selling cars in Australia these days are generally a mix of light commercial utes, small hatchbacks and mid-size SUVs. So Australia's most popular car or most common car is often not technically even a car.
