This half-hour worth of Bugatti EB 110 footage is too good not to share

By Tom WhiteTom White
Rare footage of a rare prototype of a rare car.

Italy has a lot of things. Incredible food, incredible coffee, some of the greatest ancient artefacts in the world and it's a country that also hosts a great many of the worlds most special supercars.

Thanks to a short perouse of reddit this morning, I was alerted to this amazing Italian YouTube channel. Packed complete with perfectly servicable English subs, you're going to get lost in the country's eclectic collection of vehicles that most of us in Australia will likely never see in the flesh.

Of special interest is this Bugatti EB 110. Not only do we have 14 straight minutes of prototypes being tested in alpine conditions, but there is also a 16 mintue drive experience video. Try not to be filled with mad jealousy, as the host wrangles one of the rarest supercars in existence around a track.

You can hear the fury of the quad-turbo motor dotted amongst fascinating interview footage with designers and engineers. Well worth your time.

The EB 110 is about as special as they come. Sold from 1991 to 1995 it was decidedly ahead of its time with a 3.5-litre quad-turbo V12, four wheel drive and an electronically-controlled rear spoiler. Only 139 were ever produced before the company went bankrupt.

What car would you sacrifice a bodypart to drive? Let us know in the comments.
