The TDI Quattro Sport is the upper mid-grade version of the new-generation Q5, offering the all-wheel-drive diesel engine with a sportier appearance.
This version uses the same engine as the standard TDI, a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged and hybrid-assisted diesel engine producing 150kW/400Nm.
It uses Audi's signature quattro all-wheel-drive system sending power to all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission.
This Sport version comes in at $94,100, representing another price jump in the range.
It offers 20-inch two-tone alloys, a panoramic opening sunroof with electric shade, S-Line front seats with an S-Line interior trim package, a three-spoke steering wheel, steel sports pedals and black headlining.
This adds to the existing standard equipment of matrix LED headlights, an 11.9-inch digital dash, and a 14.5-inch multimedia touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, online connectivity with built-in navigation, an eight-speaker sound system, leather interior trim with brushed aluminium inlays, a wireless phone charger, 360-degree parking camera, power adjust and heated front seats, tri-zone climate, as well as keyless entry and push-start ignition.
Boot space measures 520 litres with five seats up or up to 1473 litres with the second row folded down. There is no spare, just a tyre repair kit under the floor.
The Q5 range is covered by a five-year and unlimited kilometre warranty, while servicing is most affordable when five years are purchased up front for $3520 ($704 per year). Servicing is required once every 12 months or 15,000km.
