    This 2012 991 Carrera S is finished in the stunning Guard's Red which shows off the larger curves of the 991 exquisitely. Packing 400bhp from the 3.8 litre Boxer engine and a 0-100 time in under 4 seconds, the Carrera S retains the 911's reputation as the benchmark for how a Sports Car should perform.

    Turn the ignition, and the flat 6, rear-mounted boxer snarls to life.

    From the sumptuous curves on the fettled yet classically Porsche silhouette to the driver-focused driving experience, the 911 is an experience to behold. Any enthusiast who hasn't experienced a 911 is honestly missing out.

    Its 1,400kg weight transitions effortlessly and communicatively around technical roads, especially owing to the fact that this example comes with the Sport Chrono package, allowing even greater command of the PDK (or Porsche Doppelkupplung if you're charging by the syllable) and chassis.

    Other valuable options include the Porsche valved Sport Exhaust (which sounds sublime when open) and Porsche Tracking system. It also comes optioned with Additional IsoFix child seat points making it surprisingly practical for those who need to transport younger humans.
