The $22,470 Toyota Yaris ZR five-door, five-seat light hatchback was updated in March 2017 with exterior and interior changes, as well as a safety equipment upgrade. The Yaris launched in Australia in 2005.
The automatic-only ZR sits at the top of a range of three, and is above the $17,330 five-speed manual SX and the manual-equipped Ascent at $15,290. Both the SX and Ascent can be equipped with an auto for $1530.
The ZR features automatic headlights, a 'Toyota Link' colour multimedia touchscreen with Bluetooth and satellite navigation, rear view camera, fog lights, leather-bound steering wheel, tinted side and rear glass, LED taillights, AEB, lane departure warning and automatic high-beam LED headlights.
The Yaris ZR uses a 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 80kW/141Nm. It’s mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox, and no manual option is available.
