Genesis G70 3.3T Ultimate 2019 review: snapshot

G70 Ultimate Sport model shown.

The 3.3T Ultimate gets equal-top billing in the Genesis lineup, sitting alongside the Ultimate Sport (both $79,950) and above the 3.3T Sport ($72,450).

It gets the best of the kit, including LED head- and tail-lights, an 8.0-inch touchscreen that's both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto-equipped, heated leather seats up front, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control and a 7.0-inch TFT screen in the driver's binnacle.

And you can add to that 19-inch alloys, Nappa leather trim, heated and cooled front seats, heated rear window seats, a heated steering wheel, adaptive headlights, a head-up display. a sunroof and a much better 15-speaker Lexicon stereo.

The cracking 3.3-litre V6 engine (272kW/510Nm) is also standard, as are adaptive dampers, a LSD and Brembo brakes.

The 3.3T scored the maximum five-star ANCAP safety rating, arriving with seven airbags, as well as blind-spot monitoring, AEB that works with cars and pedestrians, lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and active cruise. You also get a surround view camera, parking sensors, a driver fatigue monitor and a tyre-pressure monitor.
