Von Bibra sponsors Bravehearts

Sponsorships had been vital to maintaining Bravehearts' safety program, Ditto's Keep Safe Adventure Show.

More than 1600 children across the Gold Coast are safer thanks to Bravehearts' personal safety education program. Bravehearts founder and executive director Hetty Johnston said that thanks to public support and funding, the organisation had been able to shed more light on the reality of sexual assault in order to educate and protect children.

Ms Johnston said that corporate sponsorships had been vital to maintaining Bravehearts' breakthrough safety program, Ditto's Keep Safe Adventure Show. The program is a 40-minute live production focused on teaching children about safety with the help of Bravehearts bear cub mascot, Ditto.

The show, which is tailored for children aged three to eight addresses strategies and skills vital to staying safe in situations ranging from bullying to sexual assault.
Gold Coast auto dealership Von Bibra has decided to sponsor the organisation up to $60,000 annually which will go directly towards Bravehearts' education and counselling programs.

"Without their amazing continued support this would not be possible,'' Ms Johnston said. "Keeping children safe is one of the most important things we can do as parents, educators, carers and community members".

"To do this, Bravehearts is equipping children with the knowledge and skills they need to avoid risky situations and give them an understanding of their rights to protect their own body. Independent experts tell us that our program has the potential to cut the incidence of child sexual assault by 50 per cent.'' To find out more about Bravehearts, visit the website www.bravehearts.org.au
