Mr Jones said Mr Burrett would be responsible for general management of the site including strategic and tactical business planning.

He said Mr Burrett brought extensive experience, energy and enthusiasm to the general manager's role.

Mr Burrett has over 14 years experience in online and print media. Prior to News Digital Media, he was associate publisher for media group Reed Elsevier from 1996 to 1999 and editor of AdNews from 1991 to 1996.
